An ethical, responsible business since 2007
Committed to reusing, repurposing & recycling to help reduce our carbon footprint
I reuse/repurpose found items, waste, reclaimed materials in the creation of my original artworks.
Wherever possible I reuse/recycle packaging materials (including those received ourselves or salvaged.
Who makes my work?
I design & make all of my products in-house myself from my own artwork, including some of my presentation packaging, with the exception of the printing of my art cards & slimline flexible magnets & manufacture of some presentation packaging. These I outsource to UK based, FSC Certified companies with a zero waste to landfill ethos.
British
We are committed to using British raw materials wherever possible, in order to reduce our carbon footprint & support other British businesses.
Encourages customers to reuse, repurpose & recycle to help reduce the carbon footprint
We aim to help you to recycle, reuse or repurpose packaging from us by providing info/ideas on the website.
An ethical, responsible business
Mint To Be doesn’t want to profit from pain or the destruction of our planet, but we’re not perfect. I strive to put into practice my background, education & beliefs & to keep up with the research into even more ethical & accessible solutions for the future.
What about new packaging?
We prefer to use up our old supplies first rather than buy new; don't judge us by this! If we didn't use up these supplies, they would go straight to waste.
'New' packaging is usually salvaged from businesses no longer requiring it, thereby redirecting it from landfill.
The purchase of brand new packaging is a last resort & environmentally conscious options are usually chosen.
Renewable energy with zero carbon emissions
We currently use electricity from 76% renewable sources & with zero carbon emissions.
Accessible
Mint To Be is very much an in-house business, so even the website has been custom coded, built in-house & designed for maximum accessibility & compatibility with screen readers.
Proudly supports the Greater Manchester Lord Mayor’s Charity
When you purchase any Mint To Be products featuring the Manchester Bee, 10% of the net profits are donated & help to support the most vulnerable people & the homeless across the region; a cause close to my heart.
